The Ungrateful

In Ephesians 5:20 it said "always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." and in Ephesians 4:11 Paul teaches us to be in content whatever the circumstances.

But in reality, we are just a group of ungrateful brats!

We are not grateful for the fresh water supply,
but we complaint about the water pressure.

We are not grateful for a room to study,
but we complaint the air conditional is not cold enough.

We are not grateful for water to drink,
but we complaint there is no cold drinks.

We are not grateful for a person to be around to help,
but we complaint that the person is not there every moment we need them.

We are not grateful for a smooth pathway to walk on,
but we complaint there is no shelter as we walk on.

We are not grateful for something to eat,
but we complaint the food is not delicious.

We are not grateful for someone to be around to mend and fix things,
but we complaint the person is not working fast enough.

We are not grateful for resources that we can have,
but we complaint the other party have not done enough.

Have we forgotten, we are here to carry the cross? Or have we check in to a luxury hotel thus demands on the 3-5 stars luxuries and services? Do they owe us anything? Are we here to serve or being serve?

Do think of this....... are we the ungrateful brats?

your article sense good. i also cannt agree with all the complaint made, but some of them as you mentioned above i think their complaints are reasonable. first of all, i tried to use 3rd floor wash room to take a bath one time b4, the water pressure is really too low, it cause have to take a longer time to finish my bath and really inconvenience. if can improve, why not? secondly, about the air-con, i think you are still behind during our homiletic class, i sit at the front side, really can feel the hot, but the air-con is there, why not just repair it and all is better after on? it just like to inform maintenance rather than a complaint. as it mentioned before, i dont think some other complaint is make sense too. but i would like to say, i agree with you, we are here to carry the cross, but we should differentiate between "sufferism(not sure got this word or not)受苦主义"and "determination in facing suffering受苦心志"。finally, thanks for reminding me, we should be grateful!

Dear sister, I like this article so much! I think that everyone of us different in the way of living, thinking and acting. Complaination can reflect the things. No matter reasonable or not, we are still need to face the problem. Maybe for us, the things is a small matter, but for others, can be different views. Hence, we cannot make everyone love or agree with us, but we are still in the body of Christ, only different part. Let us try to accept and understand one another, look inside more than look to others. Gambateh!!Yeah, be Grateful!

Dear brothers and sisters. First of all, I never thought that people will read this "sharing". To avoid any misunderstanding. I think I need to further clarify things. First, I am not stating that all the complains made are not reasonable. It is just a round up of what were discussed. And Yes, I admit that I do felt that we are asking too much. Yes, of coz having this and that will convenience us. But is it their job to "convenience" us? moreover, the principle has just shared the school is having this great deficit, and the oversight are busy to get ppl to pump in money just to maintained the school and here we are asking for better service to live conveniently? and spent extra just to satisfy all our "Kehendakan rather than Keperluan asas"?

Again, I am not asking people to agree with me and see what I see or trying to condemn people. It is just a sharing on what I felt.
